Spectacular Hair Care Tips for Spring

Mar 15, 2020

It’s that time of year again. Days are getting longer. The weather is getting warmer. Spring is nearly here! Spring presents a few challenges for our hair as it adjusts to the changing seasons. The first thing you should do to get your hair ready for spring is to come in for a trim. Here are a few more things you can do to keep your hair looking it’s best this season.

Deep Condition

Dry winter is extremely harsh on your hair, and the damage it does can leave your hair prone to frizz when the humidity starts to rise. Use a deep conditioning treatment to replenish the moisture and nutrients and get your hair back into shape. Ask your stylist to recommend a treatment that is perfect for your unique hair type.

Prepare for Rain

Typically spring brings with it larger amounts of rain. While this is great for all of the blossoming flowers, it’s not so great for your hair if you are prone to frizz. You can completely head off the frizz with a Brazillian blowout to keep your hair looking smooth all season. If you prefer to keep your hair in its natural state you can keep frizz at bay with some gorgeous updos. Ponytails, braids, and buns will be your best friends when it’s pouring outside.

Try Air Drying

Blow drying saves time, but heat styling causes damage over time. With the warmer weather, your hair isn’t in danger of freezing solid if it’s not bone dry when you walk out the door. So this would be a great time to try air-drying your hair. It’s a great way to save time and reduce damage from heat styling. An added bonus is that curls and waves last longer when they are set wet and allowed to air dry naturally.
