Styln' for Spring with a New Hairstyle

Apr 11, 2016

Spring is the time for renewal and fresh starts, and what better way to join with the season than with a new hairstyle? Here are some suggestions for all hair lengths and textures. For an in depth analysis, have a chat with a professional stylist

The biggest trend of the season is being called the modern shag. It’s all about texture. So you can put away the flatirons and blow dryers. Shaped into heavy layers and optional bangs, you simply style it with your fingers and some texturizing paste. Easy done.

A great cut for those commitment phobes who are leery of going short short is a textured lob. It’s the perfect in between cut either with lots of texture or super sleek. If you opt for the textured version, you’ll give off a modern vibe. The sleek version is all about being classic.

Is your hair naturally straight and dense? Try a blunt bob. It’s slightly longer than a classic bob, and it has very little upkeep beyond an occasional trim. Just don’t be tempted to curl under the ends with a round brush – you’ll end up looking like your own grandma.

Pixies are great, but maybe you’re ready for something different. It’s simple – just wait a couple extra weeks between trims to get a grown-out look. Go a little longer at the ears and just a bit at the nape of your neck, too. Be sure to ask your stylist to do a good deal of cutting in for more texture, and you’ll have the ultimate low-maintenance short cut.
