Make Up Tips For Summer

With summer make up as with summer fashion, less is usually best. Warm weather and humidity call for fewer layers of clothing, and the same holds true for your make up routine. The only thing that should be getting a thick layer this summer is your sunscreen. So, here are some tips to help you look your summertime best with less.

There’s no need for a heavy layer of foundation. Opt instead for a tinted moisturizer – containing a good sunscreen – to even out your skin tone and amp up your natural radiance. If you have something that really needs a cover up, use a dab of a stick concealer and tap it on with your fingers. It will stay put longer than a liquid.

We all know that there’s no such thing as a safe tan, but that doesn’t mean you need to have a pale face all summer. Choose a bronzer with a slight shimmer and either pink or peach undertones. Apply it to the bridge of your nose and on the apples of your cheeks, places where the sun would naturally touch your face.

Keep your mascara in place by applying a sweep of clear mascara over your regular one. It will seal in the color. To be extra sure, use your dark color only on your top lashes and apply just the clear product to the bottom. And lighten up on your eye shadow, too. Go for a soft shimmer of copper or pink, and look for a longwearing cream-to-powder product.
