Great Hair for Those Summer Events

Summer is busy, and part of that seasonal hustle and bustle probably involves a big event or two. With everything else going on, and with all of the time you’re probably spending outside, there’s not a whole lot of time left over to think about how to style your hair that will look great and feel comfortable. That’s where these summer styling tips will come in handy.

For those of us with longer hair, you’ll probably want it up and off your neck during the warm weather. To add the right amount of bling to an otherwise low-key ‘do, try adding some sparkly accessories. An embellished headband can act as an anchor beneath a braided crown. Position the headband first, and then start twisting and pinning sections upward close to the band. You don’t even need to worry about those wispy fly aways – they’ll just add to the effect. A low bun is another idea, or a low side pony with rolled sections before the tie. Again, something simple but sparkly will kick it up just enough to be special.

If you’re blessed with wavy hair, go for a beachy look. Let your hair air dry so that your natural waves show through, and then loosely wrap section around a medium-barrel curling iron. Then just rake your fingers through the ringlets after they’ve cooled. If your hair is downright curly, especially in the humidity, just let it go. Use hydrating shampoo and conditioner, and love your curly locks. A blingy clip will step it up a notch for the special day.
